33 killed as bus plunges into 500-feet-deep gorge in Raigad
A bus plunged 500 feet into a ravine in India.
33 people are feared to be dead.
The lone survivor reported:
“The driver turned back to [respond] to a joke of one of the
passengers for a second and before we could understand
anything, the bus fell in the gorge. I was thrown outside the bus.”
The bus belonged to an agriculture university.
All the passengers were employees.
India has the world’s deadliest roads,
with more than 110,000 people killed annually.
