NYC Sues Trump Over Anarchist Jurisdiction

N
NTD Videos
In response to the chaos and destruction unleashed on the US, President Trump in September labeled certain large cities as anarchist jurisdictions. The President has also threatened to cut federal funding from these cities - those cities being New York City, Seattle, and Portland. The mayor of New York City kept his word when he said weeks ago that he'll challenge the president in court. New York City formed a coalition with Seattle and Portland to file a complaint on President Trump's decision. They say they're doing it now because the Trump administration has started to make efforts to withhold funding. According to Insurance Information Institute, damage from looting and riots across the country could cost as much as $2 billion dollars. In Seattle, local leadership allowed rioters to establish a 6 block area known as CHAZ, which led to the deaths of two teenagers. New York City alone could lose as much as 12 billion dollars if Trump were to withhold funding. The counsel said the anarchist cities expect to win the lawsuit.
