Drone Footage Shows Long Lines for Water in Flint

After two years of providing free water to residents, the government of Flint, Michigan has ended the program. A drone captured this video of long lines of people waiting for their final bottles. Flint’s water supply turned toxic after a city manager switched the source from lake Huron to the Flint River. The river water leached lead out of water pipes, raising the levels of that toxic metal to dangerous levels. Flint Governor Rick Snyder announced the water giveaway and also programs to rectify the water quality situation at the same time.
